Good location, easy to find and close to Toowoomba. We stayed at a 'canyon top' site which was nice with a view out over the creek. Friendly staff with an easygoing atmosphere, reasonable prices. Dog-friendly as long as they remain restrained. Would stay here again!

Had a fantastic, relaxing weekend away with the dogs and the wife; nothing really to complain about. The staff were helpful and accommodating, it wasn't a busy weekend, and we were afforded plenty of privacy and weren't next to anyone. The amenities were excellent, clean, and plenty of hot water for all.

Yes a beautiful place but.... I felt the managers were very unhelpful and inhospitable to me and my four children. For example. We tried several times to book the flying fox and other activities but they kept making excuses about the wet weather (it didn’t rain) and lack of campers. Etc.... On the 2nd night the communal kitchen was taken over by a roudy party of weight lifters and Co, who weren’t even staying here. They completely ruined our stay. The owners did not tell us in advance about the party. It says on the FAX that only guests can use the facility’s due to council regulations so why did outsiders come in and take over? Very disappointing and would definitely not recommend.

Spent the weekend recently here on a powered site. Great location and setting is quiet. Running power leads to camp sites are long so take at least a 20m lead. Kids loved the archery and flying fox activities.

My only gripe would be the having to have dogs leashed and tethered at all times, however I understand this is likely a public liability thing; and in the grand scheme of things isn't that important. We will definitely be back.

1 star for great activities available. BUT the dust is terrible i.e. not much grass available. You will look like a coal miner not long after arriving. The "beach" is really a stagnant mosquito pond. Limited shower/toilets available unless your up for a trek. Doesn't feel like camping when freight trains constantly go past (and during the night) Angry owners! Plenty of better places to go camping.
